ATP (Advanced Technology Primer) is line of anti-corrosive epoxy primers that have many functions. The following are some examples of ATP's exemplary performance in the salt spray at Powder Technology on customer-supplied substrates. These ATP test panels had been in the salt spray cabinet for over 21, 500 hours or longer than two years. For comparison most powder coatings fail between 1000 and 4000 hours. Powder Technology, Inc. is proud to announce that we have expanded our product offering to include over 120 RAL powder coatings. Every coating in our RAL product line is UL Listed*, High Gloss, and Super Durable, well surpassing the American Architectural Manufacturers Association 2603 Standards.
Designed for uniform application properties and superior opacity levels, these coatings cure at a temperature of 350°, allowing for energy savings versus many other standard cure product lines. In addition, all of our RAL coatings are high gloss, with ratings of 85+. Using our ATP primer plus our Super Durable top coat we typically see more than 5,000 hours in salt spray cabinets.
We can also supply these RAL coatings to meet rigorous AAMA 2604 and AAMA 2605 Standards using our Pentabond and Decabond chemistry. Formulated with the highest performance ingredients available, our Decabond coatings deliver proven track records, maintaining superior durability and a minimum of 50% gloss retention after 10 years Florida exposure.

Anti-graffiti technology from Powder Technology, Inc. is based on proprietary polyester urethane technology and is formulated specifically to meet the requirements of ASTM D6578 - Standard Practice for Determination of Graffiti Resistance. Graffiti such as: Solvent-Based Acrylic Spray Paint, Solvent-Based Alkyd Spray Paint, Wax Crayon, Ballpoint Ink, and Water-based Ink Marker were all easily removed by scrubbing with a dry cloth. Solvent-Based Permanent Ink Marker was easily removed by scrubbing with isopropyl alcohol.
Pentabond technology is based on proprietary polyester technology and is formulated specifically to meet the requirements of AAMA 2604. In addition to resin technology, the selection of additives, pigments and fillers was done to maximize physical properties after extended outdoor exposure while maintaining high levels of gloss and color retention.More
Decabond technology was formulated to meet the more rigorous performance requirements of AAMA 2605 and is based on proven fluorocarbon resin technology, and like its sister powder, Pentabond, is formulated with the highest performance pigments, additives, resins and fillers available. Epoxies offer coatings with excellent mechanical and chemical resistance properties when used on interior applications or for exterior applications where changes in color, gloss and appearance are acceptable. Generally epoxies are not recommended for exterior application because of rapid loss of gloss and color when exposed outdoors.More
Polyester Urethane powders are extremely smooth, high flow, exterior durable coatings that offer good mechanical and chemical resistance properties in the range of 1 to 3.0 mils. These powders can be used both on interior and exterior applications. They are not recommended for films greater than 4 to 5 mils.More
Polyester TGIC powders are exterior durable coatings that offer good mechanical and chemical resistance properties in the range of 1 to 5.0 + mils. These coatings will also cure at lower temperatures than the standard polyester urethane. Polyester TGIC products are available in General Industrial or Super Durable platforms.More
